Dr. Shobha Joshi
Dr. Shobha Joshi is practicing adult psychiatry for more than 40 years and 30- 40% of her patients are in the senior age group.
Dr. Joshi graduated from medical school from the University of Bombay and did residency training in psychiatry from Pennsylvania. She has been practicing psychiatry in different hospitals in Michigan, where she has been the chief of clinical affairs.
For ten years before retiring, Dr. Joshi worked as a Director of the largest psychiatry hospital in Michigan. In this capacity, she was influential in the policymaking for psychiatric care in the state of Michigan. She also has been involved in surveying psychiatric hospitals in Michigan for Medicare to ensure safe and optimal patient care.
Currently, Dr. Joshi is the Director of the Department of Psychiatry in Marshall, Michigan.
In addition to her accomplishments in clinical psychiatry, Shobha is a successful business owner. She is the president of their family owned business, managing several fast food restaurants. She is a loving grandmother, an excellent golfer and a very competitive bridge player.
