1. When & where is the BMM 2017 Convention?
The BMM 2017 convention will be held between July 7th and July 9th 2017 at DeVos Place Convention Center at Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is two hours away from Detroit and Chicago.

2. Why do I participate in Expo during BMM2017?
Biennial BMM convention is the flagship event for Marathi community in North America and in the world. While we nurture Marathi culture at our home, with our friends and in our local mandals, such gathering for three days builds belonging to the community, which is especially critical for our children.
What to expect:

3. What are the prices for Expo booths?
We offer 2 booth sizes:
a. Booth size 10’ X 10’ – $2,000
b. Booth size 20’ X 10’ – $4,000

4. What is included in the booth cost?
Following items are included in the booth cost:
a. 2 full convention registrations for 10’ X 10’ booth and 4 full convention registrations for 20’ X 10’ (each registration of value $300 includes food, access to main convention and all programming activities with one assigned seat in the arena)
b. Exhibit booth draping with 8’ high backs and 3’ high sides
c. One (1) 2’x8’ covered and skirted display table
d. Two chairs
e. One wastebasket
f. One booth number and name
g. Basic lighting
h. Vendor name listed on the website (in the list of vendors)

5. What are my payment options?
Payments can be made by Credit Card or Personal Checks. Cash payments and electronic transfers are not accepted. Credit card payments can be made on the link sent to individuals and will be processed online by Sulekha LLC using a secured transaction page.
Checks should be made payable to BMM 2017 and mailed to BMM 2017, PO Box 531975, Livonia, MI 48153.
Once you complete your Expo registration, you will receive a BMM EXPO ID in the confirmation email. Please write your BMM EXPO ID on the back of the check. For payments made via check, Expo registration will be confirmed only after the check is received. The check should be received within 14 days of Expo registration.
In case your check is not received in 14 days, your Expo registration will be automatically cancelled due to non-payment.
We are glad to offer 50-50 installment scheme for payments. Under this scheme, vendors will pay 50% of total cost during Expo registration and remaining 50% before March 31st, 2017.
Booth spot will not be confirmed unless full payment is received.

6. Who is Sulekha? Why are they processing the credit card Payments?
Sulekha LLC is our payment gateway partner for the BMM registration process. It is a secured site to make payments for the convention. Sulekha is the biggest portal for Indian events. Sulekha LLC processes ticketing for almost all the big events in North America. They also manage registrations for most of the Indian communities and conventions. We have signed a contract with Sulekha to process the payments with legal protection to secure attendee data and their credit card information.

7. Are my credit card information & other data safe?
Yes. Sulekha LLC will be managing all the credit card transactions using their secured payment gateway. Sulekha or BMM 2017 committee will not store any credit card information in its database. Sulekha or BMM 2017 committee will not share any data with the 3rd parties and the data will be strictly used for the activities related to the BMM 2017 convention

8. What are the steps to register for Expo?
Below are the steps for registration:
a. Complete the registration form
b. BMM team will contact you within 2 days with a payment link after we receive your registration request
c. You can pay by credit card using the link.If you are paying by check, please use the address mentioned in Question #5
d. Expo team will provide you with ‘Exhibitor’s Add-on Kit’ options once registration is complete

9. What is cancellation policy?
Cancellation of Expo registration will be allowed till May 15th, 2017. A 20% penalty will be charged for each cancellation and balance of the money will be refunded upon request.
No cancellation or refund will be allowed after May 15th 2017. Cancellation request must be submitted to the BMM 2017 Expo committee via email to expo@bmm2017.org

10. If I live in India or any other country outside North America, how can I register for the convention?
The online Expo registration process has been designed to allow Expo registration from any location around the world. The registration and payment process has been standardized to make this process as integrated as possible. We can only accept registration and other fees in US Dollars. If, for any reason, you are having issues registering for the Expo, please contact the Expo team at expo@bmm2017.com

11. Which hotels are available nearby? Is there a discounted rate for BMM attendees?
There are many nice hotels near the Convention Center and Grand Rapids area. BMM is negotiating discounted rates for major hotels. Please visit the Hotels page on BMM website for updated hotels information.
Links for hotel registration with BMM rates will be provided in the confirmation email, after the registration is complete & submitted. For check payments of registration, links to hotel will be provided only after the check is cleared

12. What is the Hotel Reservation policy?
Only registered BMM2017 convention attendees have an option of making the Hotel booking at these rates. Once you have completed BMM registration, we request you to only make hotel reservation in your own name and not share the links with others who have not yet registered for the convention. If a misuse is observed, BMM reserves the right to cancel the Hotel booking. Any special requests for hotel including rollaway beds, cribs etc. should be made by directly by calling the particular hotel. For any unresolved hotel needs please send email to Hotels@bmm2017.org

13. Which Airports are convenient to the convention center? What options are available for transportation from Airport to Convention Center?
Grand Rapids is accessible from different airports. Frequent shuttle / CAB services are available from certain airports to the Grand Rapids Convention Center. Information pertaining to shuttle services and pricing will be made available in the next few months.

Lansing Airport (LAN) – 61 miles
Detroit Airport (DTW) – 154 miles
Chicago Airport (ORD) – 202 miles

14. What are the parking options for BMM attendees?
Discounted Parking is available at the Convention Center for convention attendees. Adjacent hotels also offer discounted parking spaces for BMM attendees staying in those hotels. Many parking structures in Grand Rapids downtown area offer free parking over the weekend. Many Hotels away from downtown offer free parking. Any parking charges will be paid by the attendees. 15. What is the level of security provided?
Minimal security will be provided by BMM during and after the convention hours. Exhibitors need to secure their merchandise at BMM throughout the convention. BMM will not be liable for any lost, stolen or misplaced items at any point before, during and after the convention and expo dates. Vendor merchandise is the sole responsibility of each Exhibitor

16. What about insurance?
Exhibitors are responsible for buying their own insurance for the booth. Exhibitors are required to purchase their own Exhibitors Insurance. BMM is not responsible for any insurance coverage for exhibitors

17. How are visas for overseas vendors handled?

18. Who will be responsible for custom clearance of vendor merchandise?
