CEO InfoReady Corporation 2010 – Present

CEO, GDI Infotech Inc. 1993 – Present

I’m an engineer by education, but an entrepreneur at heart!

Since starting out as an engineer at Ford Motor Co., I’ve founded four successful companies in the engineering, telecom, IT consulting and information-management sectors. I’ve approached each startup with an open-book management style. I’ve also surrounded myself with the brightest teams—experimenting with ideas from the bottom-up and trusting in employees’ and boards’ proven expertise.

I am involved in providing solutions for the Information Management and Integration space for the past 20 years. In 1993, I started GDI Infotech as an enterprise software-development firm. We later positioned the company as an IT consulting and solutions firm, helping clients integrate complex applications and deal with disparate information silos. GDI has since been named Inc.’s “fastest-growing company” for three years in a row.

My most recent startup, InfoReady, was spun out of GDI in 2010 due to customers’ growing frustration with traditional information-management software. InfoReady is developing game-changing products and solutions that users will embrace and can use with no training required.

I’m an active member of the Michigan business community, have been named as Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year”, and have made the Crain’s Detroit Business “40 Under 40” and “Who’s Who in Technology Services” lists. I received Crain’s “American Dreamer Award”, which is given to immigrant entrepreneurs who’ve changed the business landscape.

Extensive experience serving clients in the education, finance, automotive, local government, pharmaceutical, energy, healthcare and retail industries. Specialties: IT consulting and solutions, managed services, talent acquisition, systems integration, IT infrastructure, data foundations, business intelligence, solution visualization, information management, cloud computing, open-source development, enterprise social-media collaboration.
